Biography
Trinere was Miami freestyle’s leading voice, recording with producer Tony “Pretty Tony” Butler on his Music Specialists label from the mid-1980s. “All Night” and “I Know You Love Me” defined the Miami side of the genre: faster, brighter, and bass-heavier than the New York school.
“How Can We Be Wrong,” “I’ll Be All You Ever Need,” and “They’re Playing Our Song” extended a catalog that made her the standard against which Miami freestyle singers got measured.
Trinere still headlines old-school shows across Florida and beyond. Her two singles on this site carry the Miami sound in a catalog that otherwise leans New York.
