Biography
Collage was a Philadelphia freestyle act built by producer Adam Marano, who launched it after closing his first project, T.P.E. “I’ll Be Loving You” became the group’s signature, reaching #56 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1994 and proving freestyle could still chart in the decade’s middle years.
“Gangster of Love” and further singles followed, and in 1998 Collage recorded “Can’t We Try” as a duet with Rockell, one of the defining records of the late-90s freestyle revival.
Marano’s two projects bracket a decade of Philadelphia freestyle, and both are represented on this site: T.P.E.’s “Then Came You” and Collage’s “I’ll Be Loving You” each have their page and player.
