Biography
Nocera recorded “Summertime, Summertime” for Sleeping Bag Records in 1986, and the single became one of the label’s defining dance releases, reaching #2 on Billboard’s dance club chart and permanent status as a warm-weather anthem.
Her debut album Over the Rainbow followed in 1987 on Sleeping Bag, the label family that also carried Joyce Sims and Hanson & Davis, and further singles kept her on club playlists through the decade’s end.
“Summertime, Summertime” never left rotation. Freestyle radio brings it back every June, and it holds its place on this site’s Top 100 by Spotify play data.
