Company B Biography
Company B is an American freestyle and dance-pop trio formed in 1986 by producer Ish “Angel” Ledesma. The original lineup consisted of Lori L. (Ledesma), Charlotte McKinnon, and Susan Johnson. Before the release of their debut album, McKinnon was replaced by Lezlee Livrano, and after the debut, Susan Johnson left and was replaced by Sheena B (Wikipedia) (Discogs).
The group’s self-titled debut album, “Company B,” was released in 1987 and included the hit single “Fascinated,” which reached number one on the U.S. Dance charts and peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100. Other notable tracks from this album include “Full Circle,” “Perfect Lover,” and “Signed in Your Book of Love,” all of which performed well on the dance charts (AllMusic) (Wikipedia).
Their second album, “Gotta Dance,” released in 1989, included singles such as “You Stole My Heart” and a cover of the Andrews Sisters’ “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” though it did not achieve the same level of success as their debut (Wikipedia).
The group continued to release music in the 1990s with albums like “3” (1996) and “Jam on Me” (1996). They regrouped in 2006 with some original members and have continued to perform and release new material, including remakes of classic hits and new songs (Discogs).
