Nayobe (born Nayobe Catalina Gomez) is an American singer of Cuban descent, recognized as one of the early freestyle music pioneers in the mid-1980s. Born and raised in New York City, she released her breakthrough single “Please Don’t Go” in 1984, often cited as one of the earliest freestyle tracks. Other notable songs include “Second Chance for Love” and “Good Things Come to Those Who Wait,” solidifying her reputation on both dance charts and in the Latin music community.
