Signed to Micmac Records—a key label in the freestyle genre—she launched her career with the 1987 single “Change on Me,” which became a significant hit in clubs and on dance radio. Known for her emotive vocal delivery and catchy melodies, Cynthia followed up with popular tracks like “Endless Night” and “Thief of Hearts,” further solidifying her reputation in the freestyle community. In 1990, she collaborated with fellow artist Johnny O on the duet “Dreamboy/Dreamgirl,” which reached wider audiences and peaked on Billboard’s dance charts.
