One Way Love – TKA

The radio version of One Way Love by TKA

TKA is a pioneering American Latin freestyle group from New York City, formed in the mid-1980s. The group’s most recognized lineup featured Tony Ortiz, Louis “Kayel” Sharpe (also known as K7), and Angel Vasquez. They were signed to Tommy Boy Records and rose to prominence with hits such as “One Way Love,” “Scars of Love,” and “Tears May Fall.” Their energetic, dance-driven sound helped define the late-1980s freestyle scene.

After a series of successful singles and their debut album, Scars of Love (1987), the members pursued separate paths in the early 1990s. Kayel, for example, launched a solo career under the name K7, earning mainstream attention with “Come Baby Come.” TKA occasionally reunites for live performances, maintaining their status as influential figures in the classic freestyle circuit.
